ABOUT US

The Financial Markets Association (FMA) is a non-profit 501(c)(6) educational association dedicated to providing the financial services industry with quality capital markets education, including: legislative and regulatory updates; securities dealer and public finance compliance; trading risk management; retail and institutional sales compliance; and fiduciary compliance. FMA fulfills a critical need by contributing to the knowledge and professional development of hundreds of banking professionals and regulators.

Founded in 1991, FMA is a self-funded organization with no commercial or political interests, providing unbiased and relevant information at all educational offerings. FMA is a recognized leader in banking education, conducting quality conferences, seminars and workshops which provide banking professionals with practical information.

FMA Brings Bankers Together

In today's increasingly competitive and volatile banking environment, it is particularly important to meet and learn from your peers, understand legislative changes and deepen your technical knowledge and expertise. This is why FMA was formed.

FMA focuses on the educational and training needs of professionals working with financial institution treasury and capital markets, securities investing and fiduciary activities. FMA works for individuals, not member firms or banks. FMA provides compliance training and technical information to increase your effectiveness and level of productivity, and offers you opportunities to share your experiences and learn from your peers. FMA membership gives you a professional edge through its training and networking opportunities and its Market Solutions newsletter.

FMA Keeps You Informed

FMA's quarterly newsletter provides concise, timely and thorough coverage of key issues in bank capital markets activities. Market Solutions includes:

  • Feature articles on legislative and regulatory updates; securities dealer and public finance compliance, trading risk management; retail and institutional sales compliance; and fiduciary compliance.
  • Updates on pending legislation and regulations.
  • Programming announcements and new publication notices.
  • News about peers and other FMA members, making it easier to contact (and consult with) colleagues.

FMA Offers In-depth Training

FMA seminars and interactive workshops provide participants with new insights and ideas, technical knowledge and business practices that can be adapted to your own department. You may also be eligible for CPE/CLE accreditation.
